Considered as one of the most well-known General Surgery in India, Dr. Adarsh Chaudhary has an extensive experience of more than 42 years. He is currently working as a Chairman of Institute of Digestive and Hepatobiliary Sciences, at Medanta Hospital. His specialities include surgeries like hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, thyroid surgery, breast surgery and several others, along with preoperative and postoperative care to the patients who undergo surgeries. He has performed more than 20,000 surgeries so far.

Whipple’s Surgery – This is a complicated procedure done to eliminate the head of the pancreas, the first part of the small intestine, gallbladder, and bile duct.  This surgery is done to treat tumors, disorders of pancreas, intestine and bile duct. After the surgery is performed, the surgeon re-establishes the connections of the remaining organs, for the patients to facilitate the digestion in a normal way.

Bariatric Surgery – All kinds of Gastric bypass and weight loss surgeries come under the category of bariatric surgery. These surgeries make changes in the digestive system, to help in weight loss. Such kinds of surgeries are only opted for, when diet improvement and exercise have stopped working leading to serious health disorders because of increased weight.

Cholecystectomy – This is a surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder, whose function is to collect and store bile. This is done by insertion of a tiny video camera and some special instruments by making small incisions on the abdomen. This is done in cases of gallstones in gallbladder, gallstones in the bile duct, gallbladder inflammation, large gallbladder polyps, and pancreas inflammation due to gallstones.
